Screen printing / bulk runs and event merch

Screen printing in Sydney

Screen printing is the one for volume. The ink sits heavy on the garment, it survives being washed constantly, and the price per shirt keeps dropping the more you order. We print it at 4/18-20 Hotham Parade in Artarmon, on Sydney's North Shore, and you either pick it up from us or we send it out.

How to pick

When screen printing is the right call

Club, team and staff runs

Forty polos for the club or a hundred crew tees is exactly what screen printing is built for. Heavy ink, very durable, and the unit price falls away as the quantity climbs.

Event and festival merch

Bold artwork reproduces sharply and consistently right across a run. If it is going on a merch table, this is the finish that looks like it came from a real brand.

Anything washed constantly

Uniforms, workwear, kit that gets worn weekly. Screen printing outlasts every other method we offer, which is why club and trade runs tend to go this way.

When it is not the right call

If the artwork is photographic, has gradients, or you only need a handful, DTG printing will do it better and cost you less. If the garment is polyester or hi vis, standard screen printing will not hold and you want DTF instead. We will tell you which one your job wants before we quote it, rather than take the order and hope.

What it costs

Screen printing is quoted per job

We do not publish a screen printing rate, because the honest answer depends on the job. Rather than show you a number that changes the moment we see the artwork, we quote it properly and you get one figure with everything in it.

What moves the number

  • How many garments. This is the big one, and the price per shirt keeps dropping as the run grows.
  • How many colours in the artwork, and how many print positions. There is no limit on colours, it just changes the setup.
  • The garment itself, and whether you are supplying it or we are.
  • Your deadline, if you need Express rather than standard turnaround.

Want a number on the screen right now? Our online designer prices DTG printing instantly, with no setup fee and no minimum. For most jobs under about a dozen garments that is the cheaper option anyway, and it looks just as good.

Printing onto garments you already own is BYO printing: $15 one-off artwork setup per design, then $12 a print, no minimum.

Send us the job and we will quote it

What we print on

We stock AS Colour, Gildan and American Apparel blanks in the weights and colours you want. Tees, singlets, hoodies, crews, polos, totes, caps and kids sizes. If you already have the garments, we will print onto those instead.

Screen printing questions

What is the minimum order for screen printing?+

There is no minimum here, though screen printing only starts making financial sense somewhere around a dozen. Below that, DTG is usually cheaper and looks just as good. We will tell you honestly which side of the line your job falls on.

How many colours can you print?+

There is no limit. Each colour is a separate screen, so the count changes the setup and therefore the quote, but it does not cap what we can print. Send the artwork through and we will tell you how it separates.

Why is there no price list for screen printing?+

Because a single rate would be wrong for most jobs. Quantity, colour count, print positions and the garment all move it. We publish our DTG prices because those genuinely are fixed, and we quote screen printing so the number you get is the number you pay.

How long does screen printing take?+

Standard is up to two weeks from artwork approval. Express is within a week and adds $2.50 a garment on selected products. If your deadline is tighter than that, email us before you order and we will tell you straight whether we can hit it rather than take the job and hope.

Will the print crack or peel?+

Not if it is done properly. Screen printing is the most durable method we offer, which is why club and workwear runs tend to go this way. If a print of ours fails, we reprint it.

Can you print on garments I already own?+

Yes. BYO printing is $15 one-off artwork setup per design, then $12 a print, no minimum. Cotton and cotton rich fabrics take it best. Bring one in first if you are unsure, before you buy a hundred of them.

Do I need print ready artwork?+

No. Send what you have. If it came from an agency, or it is a logo pulled off a website, send it anyway and our illustrators will get it press ready.

Bulk runs, priced before you commit.

Send us the garment, the quantity and the artwork. You get one itemised number back, usually the same day.
